| Job Title: Senior Registrar and Collection Manager, Paris
Reporting to: Head of Gallery and Sales Operations, Paris

Working hours: Monday to Friday
10.00am to 6.00pm (additional hours as required)

| 10 avenue Matignon, Exhibitions and Viewings
• Co-ordinate logistical movement of artworks and their installation in the gallery, and in the viewing room.
• Manage hangs – schedule, oversee installations.
• Monitor shipping, storage and installation costs incurred by 10 avenue Matignon.
• Manage the artwork stock in our Paris storage facilities, negotiate rates and undertake yearly inventory.
• Develop and maintain a relationship with French storage facilities in order to maintain working knowledge of installation and movement of works in Paris as well as technical staff.
• Maintain regular communication with London Registrar team regarding cost effective shipments from London.
• Assist the Secondary Market team with logistics and organising Conservator Reports.
• Ensure all condition reports are updated in adherence to WC standards and saved on the inventory.
• Manage the Junior Registrar and a team of freelance technicians.
• Manage the purchase of supplies for these duties.
Clients and Shipping
• Act as point of contact for clients post sale.
• Arrange safe delivery of artworks in a timely manner adhering to all French Customs requirements.
• Organise a Condition report for artworks which have not been processed by London.
• Ensure accurate instruction is given with regards to handling, installation, care and maintenance of artworks.
• Research and advise on the best invoicing protocol for international sales particularly considering relevant tax regulations. Liaising with FR accountant.
• Manage French TA account.
• Ensure correct invoicing status for works under French TA, Bond or other Customs restrictions.
• Obtain all relevant documentation for movements of artworks once collected.
• Provide Accounts department with relevant customs documents for processing.
• Instruct release of artworks from the storage facilities on confirmation of full payment from Finance or with the approval of the Finance Director.
• Work with Technical department to arrange the installation of artworks at clients’ premises.
Artist Studios & Consignments
• Act as primary point of contact for artists when relevant Director is not on site.
• Build and maintain working knowledge of White Cube’s Artists including their oeuvre, exhibition history, collector base and public collection placement.
• Co-ordinate local and international transport of new artworks from Artists’ studios for consignment/ art fairs/exhibitions.
• Instruct condition reporting for artworks and ensuring works are insured, checking and confirming packing and casing requirements.
• Liaise with SL/ALs to organise consignment agreements for Artists’ studios.
• Liaise with Legal Advisors and SL/ALs to organise third party consignment agreements.
• Raise invoices for third party sales.
• Manage Artists’ inventory; undertake regular reports of on and off-site storage.
• Liaise with the Exhibitions department to organise shipping schedules and deadlines.
• Work with Fabrication to advise on issues from logistics perspective.
• Assist the Artist’s team and Fabrication team with logistics and organising framing in France when needed.
General duties
• Act as one of the designated out-of-hours key holder, secondary contact for building management, security, etc.
• Supervise front of house areas at preview events.
• Adhere to travel booking policy ensuring budget and company guidelines, book cars and couriers as requested
• Pass invoices for purchases made within 48 hours of receiving.

• Significant Registrar experience across both primary and secondary market
• Developed understanding and experience with logistics, customs, tax and shipping protocols in France
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Experience of working autonomously as well as within a team
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
• Strong attention to detail even when working to tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders across various departments/management levels |
